The ppp keepalive slow lns command configures a device to send PPP echo packets of LNS users to the CPU for processing.
The undo ppp keepalive slow lns command restores the default configuration.
By default, boards use hardware to respond to PPP echo packets of LNS users.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Usage Scenario
If board hardware is faulty, run the ppp keepalive slow lns command on boards to send PPP echo packets of LNS users to the CPU for processing.
Configuration Impact
If the ppp keepalive slow lns command is configured, PPP echo packets of LNS users are sent to the CPU for processing. However, this may consume many CPU resources and lead to DoS attack on the CPU. Therefore, configuring this command is not recommended.
