ppp username check

Function

The ppp username check command configures the device to check whether a login request from a PPP user contains a user name and to deny the request if it does not contain a user name.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Some terminals may send login requests with null user names. If the carrier desires to allow only PPP users with user names to log in to the device, the ppp username check command can be configured.

Configuration Impact

After the ppp username check command is run, all PPP users must enter user names to log in to the device. Otherwise, their login requests will be denied.

When denying a user request that does not contain a user name, the device displays a message of PPP with authentication fail.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
