pppoe option-82 include suboption

Function

The pppoe option-82 include suboption command is used to encapsulate suboption in the Option 82 field in the packets sent to the DHCP server.

The undo pppoe option-82 include suboption command is used to decapsulate suboption in the Option 82 field in the packets sent to the DHCP server.

By default, suboption is decapsulated in the Option 82 field in the packets sent to the DHCP server.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Scenario

In the remote address pool scenario of PPPoE users, PPPoE users fail to go online because the Option 82 attribute in Discovery packets sent from the BRAS to the DHCP server is in the character string format by default, which does not comply with the suboption format, the DHCP server cannot parse packets. The pppoe option-82 include suboption command is used to encapsulate suboption in the Option 82 field in the packets.

Precautions

This command is supported only on the admin VS.
