Function

The protocol-statistics enable command enables statistics about user protocol packets.

The undo protocol-statistics enable command disables statistics about user protocol packets.

By default, statistics about user protocol packets are disabled.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To monitor protocol packets for online users, run the protocol-statistics enable command to collect statistics about ND, PPPoE, PPP, DHCPv4, and DHCPv6 packets.

Configuration Impact

After the protocol-statistics enable command is run, the display access-user user-id verbose command output will display statistics about ND, PPPoE, PPP, DHCPv4, and DHCPv6 packets.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
