Function

The ptp lite-sync command enables the lightweight sub-millisecond-level time synchronization function.

The undo ptp lite-sync command disables lightweight time synchronization.

By default, lightweight time synchronization is disabled.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

This command is used in the In-Situ Flow Information Telemetry (iFIT) scenario. In iFit delay measurement scenarios, 1588v2 hop-by-hop time synchronization is preferred. All devices on the network must support 1588v2 and sub-microsecond-level delay measurement . If some devices on the network do not support 1588v2, you can enable lightweight and sub-millisecond-level time synchronization on downstream devices to support sub-millisecond-level delay measurement.

Precautions

In non-IFIT scenarios, you do not need to run this command. Otherwise, the time synchronization precision is affected.

Do not use this command on mobile bearer network devices, because the clock synchronization precision does not meet the performance requirements of base stations.

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
