lpt holdoff-time

Function

The lpt holdoff-time command configures an interface hold-off time for an LPT instance.

The undo lpt holdoff-time command restores the default interface hold-off time for an LPT instance.

By default, the interface hold-off time is 1000 ms for an LPT instance.

Format

lpt holdoff-time time

undo lpt holdoff-time

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
time

Configures an interface hold-off time.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 10000, in milliseconds. The step is 100.

Usage Guidelines

To prevent frequent LPT switchovers caused by interface flapping, run the lpt holdoff-time command to configure an interface hold-off time for an LPT instance. If an interface fails, it goes Down only after the configured interface hold-off time elapses.
