Function

The reauthentication interval command sets the interval for re-authentication for online dot1x template users.

The undo reauthentication interval command restores the default setting.

By default, the interval for re-authentication for online dot1x template users is 57600 seconds.

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
time

Specifies the interval for re-authentication.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 65535, in seconds. If the value is set to 0, no re-authentication is performed.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If users go online through 802.1X authentication, run the reauthentication interval command to set the interval for the BRAS to send re-authentication request packets. If re-authentication fails, the users are logged out to ensure that only authorized users can access the network.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
