Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

TWAMP uses the client/server mode. In addition to the server and client, TWAMP has two logical roles: sender and reflector. Control packets are exchanged between the server and client, and probe packets are exchanged between the sender and reflector. Therefore, after the reflector function is enabled on a device, the reflector can respond to the probes sent by the sender. The probes carry timestamps and sequence numbers, which help collect statistics about the latency, jitter, and packet loss rate.

Note:

Currently, Huawei devices function only as reflectors. To implement TWAMP performance measurement, ensure that devices that support the sender function exist on the network.

Precautions

The undo reflector command deletes all configurations of a session-reflector.

Example

# Enable the session-reflector function.
