Function

The reserve-interface fast-switch enable command enables the reserve-interface fast switching function.

The undo reserve-interface fast-switch enable command disables the reserve-interface fast switching function.

By default, the reserve-interface fast switching function is disabled.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In the VPLS decoupling, BD VPLS decoupling, EVPN, and BD EVPN scenarios, after the reserve-interface fast-switch enable command is run in an instance, the device delivers backup leaf node information to the standby interface board, which helps improve the switching performance of broadcast traffic if the master board fails.

Precautions

For VPLS and BD VPLS services, the reserve-interface fast-switch enable command must be used together with the mpls vpls convergence separate enable command.
