reset mac accounting counters

Function

The reset mac accounting counters command clears the MAC accounting statistics of an interface.

Format

reset mac accounting counters interface interfacename [ mac mac-address ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
mac mac-address

Resets statistics about a specified MAC address.

If no MAC address is specified, statistics about all MAC addresses are reset.

The value is a 12-digit hexadecimal number, in the format of H-H-H. Each H is 4 digits. If an H contains fewer than 4 digits, the left-most digits are padded with zeros. For example, e0 is displayed as 00e0.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To clear traffic statistics corresponding to MAC addresses learned by an interface, run the reset mac accounting counters command.

NOTE:

This command supports the clearance of statistics based on interfaces, sub-interfaces, interfaces and MAC addresses, and sub-interfaces and MAC addresses. When statistics are cleared based on interfaces or interfaces and MAC addresses, statistics on the sub-interfaces of an interface are also cleared.
