reset pppoe statistics

Function

The reset pppoe statistics command clears statistics about PPPoE packets.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

reset pppoe statistics { interface { interface-name | interface-type interface-number } | slot slot-id }

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
interface	Clears statistics about PPPoE packets and authentication messages on a specified interface.	-
interface-name	Specifies the interface name.	-
interface-type interface-number	Clears statistics about PPPoE packets on a specified interface. interface-type interface-number specifies the interface type and number.	The value is a string of 1 to 256 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.
slot slot-id	Clears statistics about PPPoE packets on a board in a specified slot.	The value is a string of 1 to 16 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If you need to collect statistics about PPPoE packets and authentication messages over a period of time, run the reset pppoe statistics command to clear the existing statistics first.

Precautions

This command is supported only on the admin VS.

After the reset pppoe statistics command is run, the statistics about PPPoE packets are cleared and cannot be restored. Exercise caution when running the command.

The command run on the main interface clears statistics about the main interface.
