Function

The reset dns ipv6 dynamic-host command clears dynamic IPv6 DNS entries in the domain name cache.

Format

reset dns ipv6 dynamic-host [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
vpn-instance vpn-instance-name

Specifies the VPN to be displayed.

The value is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported. In addition, the VPN instance name must not be _public_. When double quotation marks are used around the string, spaces are allowed in the string.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If the number of dynamic IPv6 DNS entries exceeds the specification of the domain name cache, valid entries fail to be cached. To clear dynamic IPv6 DNS entries in the domain name cache, run the reset dns ipv6 dynamic-host command.

Precautions

Dynamic IPv6 DNS entries cannot be restored after they are cleared. Exercise caution when running the reset dns ipv6 dynamic-host command.
