reverse interface

Function

The reverse interface command configures alarm inversion on an interface.

The undo reverse interface command disables alarm inversion on an interface.

By default, alarm inversion is not enabled on an interface.

Format

reverse interface { interface-name | ifType ifNum }

undo reverse interface { interface-name | ifType ifNum }

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
interface-name

Specifies an interface name.

The value is a string of 1 to 63 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

ifType

Specifies an interface type.

ifNum

Specifies an interface number.

The value is a string of 1 to 63 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To disable a physical interface from reporting alarms, run the reverse mode auto-resume command to change the global alarm inversion mode to automatic recovery and then run the reverse interface command to configure alarm inversion on the interface.

Prerequisites

The alarm inversion mode has been set to automatic recovery using the reverse mode auto-resume command.
