Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Split horizon is used to prevent routing loops. With split horizon, the routes learned through an interface are prevented from being advertised through this interface. To enable split horizon, run the ripng split-horizon command.

Enabling split horizon for RIPng is recommended.

Precautions

If both split horizon and poison reverse are configured, only poison reverse takes effect.

Example

<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] interface GigabitEthernet 0/1/0
[~HUAWEI-GigabitEthernet0/1/0] ipv6 enable
