set flexe sub-time-slot granula

Function

The set flexe sub-time-slot granula command sets a sub-timeslot granularity for a subcard.

The undo set flexe sub-time-slot granula command restores the default sub-timeslot granularity configured for a subcard.

By default, the sub-timeslot granularity for a subcard is 5 Gbit/s.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F2A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The sub-timeslot granularity of a FlexE client restricts the bandwidth of the FlexE client. If a FlexE client requires bandwidth that is less than 5 Gbit/s, run this command to configure a sub-timeslot granularity for the subcard.

If the sub-timeslot granularity uses the default value of 5 Gbit/s, the bandwidth value of a FlexE client is an integer multiple of 5 Gbit/s, such as 5 Gbit/s, 10 Gbit/s, 15 Gbit/s, and so on.
If the sub-timeslot granularity is set to 1 Gbit/s, the bandwidth value of a FlexE client is 1 Gbit/s, 2 Gbit/s, 3 Gbit/s, 4 Gbit/s, or an integer multiple of 5 Gbit/s.

Precautions

In a scenario where a timeslots or sub-timeslots has been bound to the FlexE client using the binding interface time-slot command and the FlexE client bandwidth has been configured using the flexe-bandwidth command:

If the sub-timeslot granularity is 1 Gbit/s and a FlexE client is associated with bandwidth less than 5 Gbit/s, the granularity cannot be switched.
If the sub-timeslot granularity is 1 Gbit/s and a FlexE client is associated with bandwidth equals to or greater than 5 Gbit/s, the granularity can be switched to 5 Gbit/s.
If the sub-timeslot granularity is 5 Gbit/s and a FlexE client is associated with bandwidth, the granularity can be switched to 1 Gbit/s.
