Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Only one binding SID can be configured for each SR-MPLS TE Policy. Similar to other types of SIDs, binding SIDs can be used to calculate paths for SR-MPLS TE Policies.

  • If no binding SID is configured for a manually configured SR-MPLS TE Policy, the SR-MPLS TE Policy does not have any binding SID.
  • By default, an SR-MPLS TE Policy dynamically delivered by a controller carries a binding SID. If a dynamic SR-MPLS TE Policy does not have a binding SID, you can configure an SR-MPLS TE Policy with the same endpoint and color values as the dynamic SR-MPLS TE Policy, and then run this command to configure a binding SID for the static SR-MPLS TE Policy. In this way, the dynamically delivered SR-MPLS TE Policy and static SR-MPLS TE Policy share the same binding SID.

Example

# Configure a binding SID for an SR-MPLS TE Policy.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] segment-routing
[*HUAWEI-segment-routing] sr-te policy policy1 endpoint 1.1.1.1 color 100
[*HUAWEI-segment-routing-te-policy-policy1] binding-sid 1000
