segment-routing ipv6 (BGP-IPv4 unicast address family view)

Function

The segment-routing ipv6 best-effort command enables a device to perform public network route iteration to an SRv6 BE based on SIDs carried in routes.

The segment-routing ipv6 traffic-engineer command enables a device to perform public network route iteration to an SRv6 TE Policy based on SIDs carried in routes.

The undo segment-routing ipv6 best-effort, undo segment-routing ipv6 traffic-engineer and undo segment-routing ipv6 best-effort traffic-engineer command restores the default configuration.

By default, this function is disabled.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In an global IPv6 over SRv6 scenario, the segment-routing ipv6 { best-effort | traffic-engineer } * command enables public network routes to recurse to an SRv6 BE or TE policy based on SIDs carried in routes.

When the BE and TE parameters both exists, if the SRv6 TE policy becomes faulty, services can use the SRv6 BE tunnel as a best-effort path.
