Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

By default, public IPv4 unicast routes do not have SIDs, the segment-routing ipv6 locator command enables a device to add SIDs in public network routes.

After the BGP IPv6 neighbor is set up and the peer ipv6-address prefix-sid command is enabled in the IPv4 address family unicast view, the BGP peers can exchange the public network routing information carrying the SID attributes through the BGP IPv6 neighbor.

Prerequisites

The locator command has been run to define a SID node route locator.
