startup patch (User view)

Function

The startup patch command specifies the patch file to be used at the next startup.

By default, no patch file to be used at the next startup is specified.

Format

startup patch file-name all

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
file-name

Specifies the name of the patch file. The file is in the format of [path][file-name].

The value is a string of 5 to 127 case-sensitive characters, with spaces not supported.

all

Specifies the patch file to be used at the next startup on all slots.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If you want a patch file to be loaded and run after the system restarts, you can run the startup patch command to specify the patch file to be used at the next startup.

Prerequisites

The desired patch file has been uploaded to the main control board of the device.

Configuration Impact

After the command startup patch has been run and the system has restarted, the patch file will be loaded and run on all boards.

If the startup patch command is run multiple times, the latest configuration will override the previous ones.

After running the startup patch command, you can use either of the following methods to prevent the system from automatically starting the patch file after the system restarts: Run the patch delete command to delete the current patch file. Run the reset patch-configure command to delete the patch file that is started after the system restarts.

Precautions

This command applies only to the admin VS but takes effect on all VSs.
