Function

The summary automatic command enables automatic summarization for locally imported multicast routes.

The undo summary automatic command disables automatic summarization for locally imported multicast routes.

By default, the locally imported multicast routes are not summarized automatically.

Usage Scenario

After the summary automatic command is run on an MBGP device, the MBGP device automatically summarizes routes based on natural network segments and sends only the summarized route to its peer. This reduces the amount of routing information.
