Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In the following scenarios, the space of a single TLV may be insufficient, which affects information advertisement. Therefore, you are advised not to disable this function.

  • In an SR-MPLS Flex-Algo scenario, multiple prefix SIDs are configured on an interface. TLV 135 is involved.
  • In SRv6 Flex-Algo scenarios, multiple locators are configured for the same process, P2P neighbors exist, and the function of automatically generating End.X SIDs is enabled. Alternatively, a large number of static End.X SIDs are configured for P2P neighbors under the locators. TLV 22/222 related to P2P neighbors is involved.
  • In SRv6 SRH compression scenarios, the sub-TLV is longer when the End.X SID is advertised in compression mode. TLV 22/222 related to P2P neighbors is involved.

Precautions

If the TLV fragmentation setting is changed, LSP information may change, causing a reset of the IS-IS instance.
