The track route-monitor-group command enables the network-side device to track the status of a route group and configures a link failure ratio threshold for triggering a master/slave switchover.
The undo track route-monitor-group command disables the network-side device from tracking the status of a route group and deletes the configured link failure ratio threshold for triggering a master/slave switchover.
By default, the network-side device is disabled from tracking the status of a route group and deletes the configured link failure ratio threshold for triggering a master/slave switchover.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Parameter | Description | Value |

failure-ratio |
Specifies an uplink bandwidth fault threshold. |
- |
failure-ratio percent |
Specifies an uplink bandwidth fault threshold percentage. |
The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 100. |
Usage Scenario
To enable the network-side device to track the status of a route group, run the track route-monitor-group switchover failure-ratio command. When the link on the network-side device fails, terminals cannot access the network. If the device is deployed on the network-side device, tracking interfaces cannot implement end-to-end detection between the NetEngine 8000 F and core router. If BFD is used, devices must support BFD. Tracking IGP routes is easy to implement. When hot backup is deployed, a device must monitor the status of the IGP route on the network-side device. If the IGP route fails, a master/slave switchover is triggered on the access side, ensuring that terminals can properly access the network.
Generally, multiple links are deployed on the network-side device. If some links fail, downstream traffic may be congested. In this situation, a master/slave switchover must also be promptly triggered on the access side.Configuration Impact
Precautions
In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
You can configure a remote backup service view to simultaneously track two interface groups and two route groups. If an interface or route group meets switchover conditions, a switchover is triggered. A switchback can be triggered only when all interface or route groups recover and meet switchback conditions.
