transmission-alarm holdup-timer (interface view)

Function

The transmission-alarm holdup-timer command enables the filtering function for the delay clearance alarms, and set a filtering interval.

The undo transmission-alarm holdup-timer command recovers the preceding function.

By default, the preceding function is enabled.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

transmission-alarm holdup-timer [ holdup-time ]

undo transmission-alarm holdup-timer

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
holdup-time

Indicates the interval for filtering delay clearance alarms (If alarm clearance information is received within the holdup time, alarm information is filtered. Otherwise, the alarm is responded.).

The value is an integer ranging from 200 to 3600000 in milliseconds. The default value is 300 milliseconds.

Usage Scenario

The transmission-alarm holdup-timer command can be used to enable alarm clearance filtering and set a filtering interval.

Prerequisites

Transmission alarm customization has been enabled on an interface.

Configuration Impact

After the transmission-alarm holdup-timer command is executed, the interface goes Up after a delay of <holdup-timer> milliseconds.

The value of the holdup-time parameter varies with the flapping frequency of interfaces.
