The trap-threshold crc-error mac-fcs-exc command enables a device to report MAC-layer bit error rate threshold-crossing alarms and configures alarm generation and clearing thresholds.
The undo trap-threshold crc-error command disables a device from reporting MAC-layer bit error rate threshold-crossing alarms.
By default, a device is disabled from reporting MAC-layer bit error rate threshold-crossing alarms.
Parameter | Description | Value |
---|---|---|
coefficient-value |
Specifies the coefficient of the formula used to calculate the generation threshold for MAC-layer bit error rate threshold-crossing alarms. The coefficient is the x in the xE-y. |
The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 9. |
exc-alarm-power |
Specifies the power of the formula used to calculate the generation threshold for MAC-layer bit error rate threshold-crossing alarms. The power is the y in the xE-y . |
The value is an integer ranging from 2 to 5. |
resume-threshold |
Indicates a clearance threshold for MAC-layer bit error rate threshold-crossing alarms. If you do not specify this parameter, the system automatically decreases the alarm generation threshold by one order of magnitude to ensure link quality when the alarm is cleared. For example, if the alarm generation threshold is 2E-3 and this parameter is not specified, the system automatically sets the alarm clearance threshold to 2E-4. |
The resume-threshold value cannot be greater than the alarm-threshold value. |
exc-resume-power |
Specifies the power of the formula used to calculate the clearance threshold for MAC-layer bit error rate threshold-crossing alarms. The power is the y in the xE-y . |
The value is an integer ranging from 2 to 6. |
trigger-lsp |
Associates MAC-layer bit error rate threshold-crossing detection with LSP switching. This parameter is optional. If you do not specify this parameter and the MAC-layer bit error rate exceeds a specified alarm generation threshold, an alarm is sent to the NMS but LSP switching is not triggered. |
- |
crc-error |
This object indicates that an alarm is generated when the number of CRC error packets exceeds the threshold. |
- |
alarm-threshold |
Indicates a generation threshold for MAC-layer bit error rate threshold-crossing alarms. |
- |
mac-fcs-exc |
MAC-layer bit errors cross the threshold. |

Usage Scenario
Prerequisites
The trap-threshold crc-error mac-fcs-sd command has been run.
Configuration Impact
If the MAC-layer bit error rate reaches a specified alarm generation threshold, the system sends an alarm to the NMS. If trigger-lsp is configured, LSP switching is triggered.
