update qos-profile

Function

The update qos-profile command updates the QoS profile that is applied to users.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

update qos-profile user-id user-id profile qos-profile-name { inbound | outbound }

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
user-id user-id

Specifies the ID of a user.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 262143.

profile qos-profile-name

Specifies the name of a QoS profile.

The value is a string of 1 to 63 characters.

inbound

Updates the QoS profile for the incoming traffic of users.

outbound

Updates the QoS profile for the outgoing traffic of users.

Usage Scenario

Running the update qos-profile command allows you to modify the QoS profile that is applied to users when they are online. After this command is run, the QoS profile that is applied to online users is replaced by the newly modified one.

Precautions

This command is supported only on the admin VS.

The update qos-profile command cannot be configured if a flow queue in four-flow-queue mode is configured in the specified profile.

After a user goes online, the QoS profile in the outbound direction of the user is updated. The QoS profile in 4-queue mode and that in 8-queue mode cannot be switched between each other

The command cannot be configured while the qos-profile is in time-range mode.

The command cannot be configured while the qos-profile is in 8 cos-enhance mode.

# Change the QoS profile that is applied to the incoming traffic of the user whose ID is 100 to the QoS profile named test.
