upe-upe mac-withdraw enable

Function

The upe-upe mac-withdraw enable command configures an NPE to forward the LDP MAC Withdraw messages received from a UPE to other UPEs.

The undo upe-upe mac-withdraw enable command disables an NPE from forwarding the LDP MAC Withdraw messages received from a UPE to other UPEs.

By default, an NPE does not forward the LDP MAC Withdraw messages received from a UPE to other UPEs.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

This command is mainly used on the gateway on the Metro Ethernet where:

  • NPE refers to the network end peer of the local VSI in HVPLS. You can run the peer <peer-address> [ negotiation-vc-id <vc-id> ] [ tnl-policy <policy-name> ] command to specify an NPE.
  • UPE refers to the user end peer of the local VSI in HVPLS. You can run the peer <peer-address> [ negotiation-vc-id <vc-id> ] [ tnl-policy <policy-name> ] upe command to specify a UPE.
  • If the local device is not configured with HVPLS, the upe-upe mac-withdraw enable command is not required.
