Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In an L3VPN accessing BRAS scenario, a VE-Group contains only one L3-terminate VE interface and one L3-access VE interface.

Precautions

The two VE interfaces in a VE-Group must be on the same board.

Among VE interfaces, only L3-terminate VE and L3-access VE interfaces can work in QinQ termination mode.

An L2-terminate VE interface, an L3-terminate VE interface, and an L3-access VE interface must have their own sub-interfaces created before VLAN service access is implemented.

In L3VPN accessing BRAS scenarios, a VE-Group must be bound to an L3-terminate VE interface before an L3-access VE sub-interface is created.

Example

# Configure a specified interface as an L3-terminate VE interface in an L3VPN accessing BRAS scenario.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] interface vitrual-ethernet 0/1/1
[~HUAWEI-Virtual-Ethernet0/1/1] ve-group 1 l3-terminate
