Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In a VPLS domain, AC interfaces bound to the same VSI can communicate with each other. To enhance data security and minimize mutual influences between users, run the e-tree command to configure VPLS E-Tree to control communication between these AC interfaces. VPLS E-Tree isolates AC interfaces in the same VSI.

Configuration Impact

The e-tree command cannot work with the following commands:

  • vsi vsi-name bd-mode
  • pwsignal bgp
  • bgp-ad
  • isolate spoken
  • isolate hub-ac hub-pw
  • admin-vsi
  • pbb b-vsi enable
  • pbb i-vsi enable
  • encapsulation ethernet
  • mac-learn-style qualify
  • pw-tag
  • p2p vsi
  • qinq stacking pe-vid
  • dhcp snooping nni server enable

Only the NetEngine 8000 F1A supports the pbb b-vsi enable and pbb i-vsi enable commands.
