Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If a user is not authenticated to access the NetEngine 8000 F in web authentication mode, the device sends an Access-Reject packet to the Portal server. If the user wants the Access-Reject packet to carry an error code indicating the error type, run the web response-error-id enable command.

Definitions of common error codes as below:

  • AC101:The IP address requested by a user is a valid IP address in the address pool of the BRAS but is already authenticated and in use.
  • AC102:The IP address requested by a user is not a valid IP address in the address pool of the BRAS.
  • AC103:The IP address requested by a user is a valid IP address in the address pool of the BRAS but is not yet assigned to the user.
  • AC201:The communication between the BRAS and RADIUS server times out or a fault occurs on the communication network.
  • RADIUS error code, such as RD101:A RADIUS error code, such as RD101, in an Access-Reject packet sent by the RADIUS server to the BRAS is inserted in the ErrID field and transparently transmitted to the Portal server.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
