xpl simulate enable bgp route-filter

Function

The xpl simulate enable bgp route-filter route-filter-name command enables BGP protocol on a device to simulate route filtering based on XPL route-filters.

The undo xpl simulate enable bgp route-filter route-filter-name command disables BGP protocol on a device from simulating route filtering based on XPL route-filters.

By default, routing protocols on a device are disabled from simulating route filtering based on XPL route-filters.

xpl simulate enable bgp route-filter route-filter-name

undo xpl simulate enable bgp route-filter route-filter-name

Usage Scenario

To enable BGP on a device to simulate route filtering based on XPL route-filters, run the xpl simulate enable bgp route-filter route-filter-name command. This configuration is a prerequisite if you want to use a display command specific to BGP to preview the result of the routing protocol simulating route filtering based on a specified XPL route-filter.

Follow-up Procedure

Run a specific display command provided by BGP to preview the result of the routing protocol simulating route filtering based on a specified XPL route-filter.

For example, run the display bgp routing-table route-filter command to preview the result of simulating route filtering in the BGP routing table based on a specified XPL route-filter.

Precautions

This command does not support the configuration of an XPL filter that contains parameters.

The upper limit of commands that enables BGP to simulate filtering routes based on the XPL policy is 1024.
