Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The debugging snmp-agent command displays all types of SNMP information. You can also specify the dispatch, msgproc, security, vacm, agent, notify, shell, and misc parameters to view the specified type of debugging information and determine whether the currently sent and received packets are correct.

Precautions

Debugging information is output on the screen. Do not output too much information for purposes other than debugging so that the performance is not affected.

The function of filtering trap/inform packets by node name applies only to IETF-compliant traps. The traps that are reported in the Huawei-specific or non-IETF standard format may not carry notification node names and therefore do not support this function.

Example

# Enable all debugging functions of SNMP.
