TRUNK/5/BACKSTATE_CHANGE: The working status of the backup trunk changed. (TrunkName=[TrunkName], Status=[WorkState])

Description

The working status of an Eth-Trunk interface in 1:1 master/backup mode changed.

Parameters

WorkState	Working status of an Eth-Trunk interface in 1:1 master/backup mode

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The active member interface of the Eth-Trunk interface in 1:1 mode went Down, and working status of the Eth-Trunk interface was therefore changed from master to backup.

Cause 2: The active member interface of the Eth-Trunk interface in 1:1 mode restored, and working status of the Eth-Trunk interface was therefore changed from backup to master.

Cause 3: The protect-switch command was run on the Eth-Trunk interface in 1:1 mode to enable a switchover between the active and inactive interfaces.

Cause 4: Both the active and backup member interfaces of the Eth-Trunk interface in 1:1 mode went Down, and working status of the Eth-Trunk interface was therefore changed to initial.

Procedure

1. Causes 1, 2, and 3: The log is informational only, and no action is required.

2. Cause 4: Check whether the master and backup interfaces and the interfaces of the remote device were shut down.

If any of the interfaces was shut down, run the undo shutdown command on the interface.
If no interface was shut down, a link fault occurred. Replace the faulty link.
