Description

A BFD packet indicating an authentication failure was received.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

PktSrcAddress

Source IP address carried in the received BFD packet.

PktDstAddress

Destination IP address carried in the received BFD packet.

Vers

Version number carried in the received BFD packet.

Diag

Diagnostic word carried in the received BFD packet.

State

Status carried in the received BFD packet.

P

P bit carried in the received BFD packet.

F

F bit carried in the received BFD packet.

C

C bit carried in the received BFD packet.

A

A bit carried in the received BFD packet.

D

D bit carried in the received BFD packet.

M

M bit carried in the received BFD packet.

DetectMult

Detection multiplier carried in the received BFD packet.

Length

Length carried in the received BFD packet.

PktLocalDiscriminator

Local discriminator carried in the received BFD packet.

PktRemoteDiscriminator

Remote discriminator carried in the received BFD packet.

PktInputIfIndex

Interface on which the BFD packet is received.

PktUdpPort

UDP port number carried in the received BFD packet.

PktTTL

TTL carried in the received BFD packet.

reason

Reason why the BFD packet is invalid: authentication failure.

Possible Causes

A BFD packet indicating an authentication failure was received.

Procedure

1. Run the display current configuration command in any view to check whether the BFD authentication mode and key on the peer end are correct.

  • If the authentication mode and key are incorrect, go to step 2.
  • If the authentication mode and key are correct, go to step 3.

2. Modify the BFD configuration mode and key on the peer end to be the same as those on the local end. Then, check whether the log is generated again. If the log persists, go to step 3.

3. Collect log and configuration information, and contact Huawei technical support personnel.
