BRASDHCP/6/DHCPS_IP_CONFLICT_ALARMID: IP Address [ip-address] conflicted. (Mac=[mac-address], IfName=[if-name], VlanId=[vlan-id])

This log is supported only on NetEngine 8000 F1A.

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

IP address conflict.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

ip-address

IP address.

mac-address

MAC address.

if-name

Interface name.

vlan-id

Specifies the ID of a VLAN.

Possible Causes

The IP address assigned by the server detected a conflict in the client network.

Procedure

1. Run the display domain name command to check whether an address pool is bound to the domain and whether the IP-address-pool-name field exists.

  • If no address pool is bound to the domain, bind an address pool to the domain according to the configuration guide -BRAS service.
  • If an address pool is bound to the domain, proceed to step 2.

2. Run the display ip pool name command to view the conflict field, proceed to step 3.

3. Run the section command in the view of the address pool or the ip-pool command in the domain view to add an IP address section and add IP addresses in the IP address section as required.

4. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If yes, proceed to step 6.
  • If no, proceed to step 5.

5. Collect alarm information, log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
