FTPS/4/FTPS_IP_BLOCK_CLIENT: FTP client IP blocked due to authentication failure in last [LogIntervalTime] [LogTimeFormat]. (IpAddress=[IpAddress], VpnName=[VpnName], BlockCount=[BlockCount])

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

FTP client's IP addresses that are blocked due to authentication failure in the specified time period.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

LogIntervalTime

Indicates the time which when expired generates an event log from the system startup.

LogTimeFormat

Indicates the time format in hours/minutes/seconds.

IpAddress

Indicates the blocked IP address of the client.

VpnName

Indicates the blocked VPN name of the client.

BlockCount

Indicates the number of times IP address gets blocked within the LogIntervalTime due to authentication failure.

Possible Causes

Client IP addresses are blocked due to multiple authentication failures.

Procedure

Run the display vty ip-block vty-password-mode all command to displays all IP addresses that fail to be authenticated. If confirm that you are logged on with the specify IP address, run the activate vty ip-block ip-address [ vpnname ] command to unlocks the IP address of a user that fails the authentication through the VTY user interface.
