ERPS/2/FWSTATEDISCARDING: The state of ERPS port was changed to discarding. (RingId=[RingID], InterfaceIndex=[IfIndex], InterfaceName=[IfName])

An ERPS ring port entered the Discarding state.

Cause 1: A new link was added to the ERPS ring. Cause 2: An ERPS ring port went Up or Down.

1. Check physical devices on the network to see whether a new ERPS-enabled physical link is added.

2. Check whether the added physical link is needed.

If the added physical link is needed, this trap message is informational only, and no action is required.
If the added physical link is not needed, go to Step 4.

3. Check whether any port added to the ERPS ring goes Up or Down.

If a port added to the ERPS ring has gone Up or Down, this trap message is informational only, and no action is required.
If no port added to the ERPS ring has gone Up or Down, go to Step 4.

4. Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
