Possible Causes

PIM received invalid Register messages.

Procedure

Check whether the SSM ranges of the source DR and RP are the same.

If the SSM ranges are the same, ensure that the RP configuration of the multicast group on the source DR is the same as that on the local device.
If the SSM ranges are different, run the ssm-policy command to configure the same SSM range.
