DHCPR/3/INVALIDPKT: An invalid BOOTP packet is received. (InvalidField=[invalid-field])

Description

The DHCP device receives invalid BOOTP packets.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

invalid-field

Invalid field in BOOTP packets

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The message type of BOOTP packets is not request or reply.

Cause 2: The IP address in the GiAddr field of BOOTP packets is invalid.

Cause 3: The magic cookie in BOOTP packets is invalid.
