DRIVER/2/LASER_SHUT: Board laser shutdown! (IfIndex=[IfIndex] SlotID=[SlotID] CardID=[CardID] PortID=[PortID] InterfaceName=[InterfaceName])

Description

The laser on the port was shut down.

Parameters

Parameter Name	Parameter Meaning
IfIndex	Node ID.
SlotID	Slot ID.
CardID	Card number.
PortID	Port number.
InterfaceName	Port name.

Possible Causes

A user shut down the laser on a port through the NMS or CLI.

Procedure

1. Run the display laser status command in all views to check the actual laser status.

If the laser status is OFF, go to Step 2.
If the laser status is ON, go to Step 3.

2. Run the laser turn-on command in the interface view to manually enable the optical module laser. Remove the laser shutdown settings and check whether the fault is rectified.

If yes, go to Step 4.
If no, go to Step 3.

3. Collect alarm, log, and configuration information and contact technical support engineers.
