Message

NTP/4/NTP_TRAP_SYS_PEER_CHANGE: The NTP peer selected by the system is changed. (hwNtpOldSource=[OldSource], hwNtpOldSourceVpnName=[OldVpnName], hwNtpSource=[NewSource], hwNtpSourceVpnName=[NewVpnName])

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

There has been a change in Peer selected by NTP without any change in state. This trap should be generated when the NTP System peer is changed and there is no state change.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

OldSource

Specifies server IP address to which local NTP clock is synchronized last time.

OldVpnName

Indicates Vpn instance associated with the peer to which the local NTP clock is synchronized last time.

NewSource

Specifies server IP address to which local NTP clock is synchronized currently.

NewVpnName

Indicates Vpn instance associated with the peer to which the local NTP clock is synchronized currently.

Possible Causes

The switchover of source reference clocks was performed during clock synchronization.

Procedure

This log message indicates a normal situation, and no action is required.
