Description

The percentage ratio of created PIM entries on the device to the specified limit reached the alarm trigger threshold.

Parameters

Parameter Name	Parameter Meaning
LimitType	Type of entry for which an entry number limit takes effect, which is one of the followings: 1:PIM-SM (, G) entry 2:PIM-SM (S, G) entry 3:PIM-DM (, G) entry 4:PIM-DM (S, G) entry
AddressFamily	Address family
CurrentCount	Number of created PIM entries on the device
LimitCount	Limit on the number of PIM entries on the device
ThresholdCount	Threshold at which the alarm is generated
ReasonType	Alarm cause, which is one of the followings: Entries are changed. The configuration is changed.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: Entry create
Cause 2: Configuration change

Procedure

Cause 1: Entry create
1. Run the display multicast global outgoing-interface pim sm statistics command to check whether the alarm trigger threshold or the number limit is low.
- If either the alarm trigger threshold or the number limit is low, go to Step 2.
- If the alarm trigger threshold and the number limit are not low, go to Step 3.
2. Run the multicast global limit command to modify the alarm trigger threshold or the number limit. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.
- If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 4.
- If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.
3. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

4. End.
Cause 2: Configuration change
