DEFEND/4/hwBaseSecurityTtlExpiredLoop_active: TTL-expired loop detect alarmed, a loop may occur on the slot. (CHASSISID=[CHASSISID], SLOTID=[SLOTID], LASTRATELOW=[LASTRATELOW], LASTRATEHIGH=[LASTRATEHIGH], CURRENTRATELOW=[CURRENTRATELOW], CURRENTRATEHIGH=[CURRENTRATEHIGH], INTERVAL=[INTERVAL], THRESHOLD=[THRESHOLD])
In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.
A TTL timeout loop detection alarm was generated, indicating that a loop occurred in the slot.
Parameter Name | Parameter Meaning |
---|---|
CHASSISID |
Chassis ID. |
SLOTID |
Slot ID. |
LASTRATELOW |
Rightmost 32 bits collected during the previous period. |
LASTRATEHIGH |
Leftmost 32 bits collected during the previous period. |
CURRENTRATELOW |
Rightmost 32 bits collected during the current period. |
CURRENTRATEHIGH |
Leftmost 32 bits collected during the current period. |
INTERVAL |
Interval at which alarms are collected. |
THRESHOLD |
Alarm threshold. |
After the TTL-timeout-based loop detection alarm function is enabled on a board, the board periodically checks statistics about the TTL timeout packets dropped using CAR. When the number of the dropped TTL timeout bytes exceeds 1000 and the percentage of the dropped TTL timeout bytes during this period in that during the previous period is lower than the configured threshold, a routing loop occurs on the board, and the device generates an alarm.(The default interval is 60 seconds and the default threshold percentage is 10%. Both of them can be configured.)
1. Check routing entries to determine whether a routing loop exists.
2. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
3. End.
