In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

The board or subcard temperature alarm.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

EntityPhysicalIndex

Indicates the index of the physical entity.

EntPhysicalIndex

Indicates the index of the physical entity.

EntPhysicalName

Indicates the name of the physical entity, such as "SFU | LPU | MPU slot slotID". The entity name varies according to the board type, such as the SFU, LPU, and MPU.

EntityThresholdType

The abnormal type for temperature.The value can be:

  • 1:high
  • 2:low

EntityThresholdCritical

The warning alarm threshold for warning alarm.

EntityThresholdCurrent

The current value that been measured.

EntityTrapFaultID

To describe the fault id of trap.

Reason

Indicates the description of the cause of the trap.

Possible Causes

The board temperature was too high.

Procedure

1. Check if there are idle slots without filler panels on the device. If there are idle slots without filler panels, install filler panels to cover these slots.

2. Check if the filter screen of the fan module is clogged. If the filter screen is clogged, clean the filter screen.

3. Check the ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature is too high, reduce the temperature to a normal level.

4. Check if the fan module is faulty. If there is a fault on the fan module, rectify the fault first.

5. If the ambient temperature is normal but the alarm is still reported, the possible cause is that the module temperature is too high. In this case, collect the information about alarms, logs, and configurations, and then contact technical support personnel.
