In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

Continuously sample CPU utilization. In a sampling period, if the CPU usage sampled each time is greater than the overload threshold, this alarm is generated. The default sampling interval is 8 minutes.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The CPU usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.
Cause 74241: The core CPU usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.
Cause 74299: The CPU usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.

Procedure

Cause 1: The CPU usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.
1. Run the display cpu-usage [configuration | service] [slave | slot slot-id] command to check the CPU usage and overload threshold.
- If the CPU usage is higher than the overload threshold, go to Step 2.
- If the CPU usage is lower than the overload threshold, go to Step 4.
2. Reduce unnecessary services and configurations to reduce the CPU usage. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.
- If no alarm is generated, the problem is resolved.
- If the alarm persists, go to Step 3.
3. Run the set cpu-usage threshold threshold-value [ restore ] [ interval ] [ slave | slot ] command to adjust the overload threshold. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.
- If no alarm is generated, the problem is resolved.
- If the alarm persists, go to Step 4.
4. Collect alarm and configuration information and contact technical support.
Cause 74241: The core CPU usage exceeded the pre-set overload threshold.
