This log is supported only on NetEngine 8000 F1A.

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

The link between a device and a policy server became faulty.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

hwDiameterPeerHostName

Name of the peer device.

hwDiameterPeerIP

IP address of the peer device.

hwDiameterPeerPort

Port of the peer device.

hwDiameterLocalIf

Local interface.

hwDiameterGrpLinkLocalPort

Local interface number.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: A policy server became faulty.

Cause 2: The local IP address or port of the link was changed.

Cause 3: The peer IP address or port of the link was changed.

Procedure

1.Run the display diameter configuration command to check the link status of the Diameter.

  • If the link is in the Up state, please go to Step 4;
  • If the link is in the Down state, please go to Step 2;
  • If the link is in the Error state, please go to Step 4.

2.Run the display diameter configuration command to view configurations of the local and peer devices at two ends of a specified link, including the local interface IP, client port,and peer port. Then, log in to the policy server to check whether configurations of the local and peer devices at two ends of a specified link that are displayed on the portal page are identical with that in the display diameter configuration command output.

  • If identical, please go to Step 4;
  • If different, please go to Step 3.

3.Run the diameter-local and diameter-peer commands in the system view to make configurations of the local and peer devices at two ends of a specified link identical with that displayed on the portal page. Run the display diameter configuration command to check the link status.

  • If the link is in the Up state, please go to Step 5;
  • If the link is in the Error state, please go to Step 4.

4.Collect alarm information, log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

5.End.
