Procedure

  • Cause 65536: The board is pulled out.The trap was generated because the user pulled out the board without pressing the Offline button or running the power off command.

    1. Check whether you need to insert a board in the slot.

    • If you need to insert a board in the slot, go to Step 2.
    • If you need not to insert a board in the slot, remove the trap. Then, go to Step 8.

    2. Check which board is pulled out.

    • If an interface board is pulled out, go to Step 3.
    • If an SFU is pulled out, go to Step 4.
    • If an MPU is pulled out, go to Step 5.

    3. If an interface board is pulled out, you can select to insert an interface board or take no action according to your needs.

When the interface board is inserted, check whether the board works normally.

    • If so, go to Step 8.
    • If not, go to Step 7.

    4. If an SFU is pulled out, you can perform the following steps:

    • If the current system works in 3+1 backup mode, you need not to take any action but go to Step 8.
    • If less than three SFUs work in the current system, you need to insert SFUs and check whether the SFUs work normally.
    • If so, go to Step 8.
    • If not, go to Step 7.

    5. If an MPU is pulled out, you need to insert an MPU in the slot. Then, check whether the MPU works normally.

    • If so, go to Step 8.
    • If not, go to Step 7.

    6. Replace the corresponding board and then check whether the fault is rectified.

    • If so, go to Step 8.
    • If not, go to Step 7.

    7. Collect the trap information, log information, and configuration of the router, and contact technical support personnel.

    8. End.

  • Cause 65537: The board is pulled out.The trap was generated because the user pressed the Offline button and then pulled out the board.

    8. End.

  • Cause 65538: The CF card was removed.

1.Check whether the CF card needs to be inserted into the board.

    • If the CF card needs to be inserted into the board, go to Step 2.
    • If the CF card does not need to be inserted into the board, clear the alarm. Then, go to Step 4.

2.Insert the CF card into the corresponding slot on the MPU. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 4.
    • If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 3.

3.Collect the trap information, log information, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.

    4.End.

  • Cause 65539: Card is removed.

1.Check whether the subcard needs to be inserted into the board.

    • If the subcard needs to be inserted into the board, go to Step 2.
    • If the subcard does not need to be inserted into the board, go to Step 4.

2.Insert the subcard into the corresponding slot on the LPU. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 4.
    • If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 3.

3.Collect the trap information, log information, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.

    4.End.

  • Cause 65540: Frame is removed.

    1. Locate the chassis in which the trap is generated.

    • If the trap is generated in the slave CCC, go to Step 2.
    • If the trap is generated in the CLC, go to Step 6.

    2. Check whether the link between the master CCC and the slave CCC is normal.

    • If so, go to Step 3.
    • If not, go to Step 4.

    3. Check whether the two MPUs in the slave CCC work normally. Run the display device command to check whether the MPUs are present.

    • If so, go to Step 9.
    • If not, go to Step 5.

    4. Replace the cable between the master CCC and the slave CCC and then check whether the trap is cleared.

    • If so, go to Step 10.
    • If not, go to Step 9.

    5. Replace the faulty MPU and then check whether the trap is cleared.

    • If so, go to Step 10.
    • If not, go to Step 9.

    6. Check whether the cable between the CLC and the CCC is correctly connected.

    • If so, go to Step 8.

    7. Replace the faulty cable between the CCC and the CLC and then check whether the trap is cleared.

    • If so, go to Step 10.
    • If not, go to Step 8.

    8. Check whether the MPU in the CLC is working properly.

    • If so, go to Step 10.
    • If not, go to Step 9.

    9. Collect the trap information, log information, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.

    10. End.

  • Cause 65541: The optical module was removed from an interface of the subcard.

    1. Determine whether the optical module needs to be installed in the interface.

    • If the optical module needs to be installed in the interface, go to Step 2.
    • If the optical module does not need to be installed in the interface, go to Step 4.

    2. Install the optical module in the interface. Check whether the trap is cleared.

    • If the trap is cleared, go to Step 4.
    • If the fault persists, go to Step 3.

    3. Collect the trap information, log information, and configuration of the router, and contact technical support personnel.

    4. End.
