Description

The source MAC address of the ARP packets received by the interface conflicts with the interface's MAC address.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

LocalInterface

Specifies the interface that receives ARP packets

ConflictMac

Specifies the source MAC address of the received ARP packets

RemoteIp

Specifies the source IP address of received ARP packets

PeVlan

Specifies the outer VLAN ID carried in the received ARP packets

CeVlan

Specifies the inner VLAN ID carried in the received ARP packets

InboundInterface

Specifies the inbound interface that receives ARP packets

Possible Causes

The source MAC address carried in the ARP packets received by an interface is the same as the interface's MAC address.

Procedure

1.Check whether a device with the same MAC address exists on the network according to the alarm information.

  • If such a device exists, perform Step 2.
  • If such a device does not exist, perform Step 4.

2.According to network planning and service deployment, check whether the MAC configurations can be adjusted.

  • If the MAC configurations can be adjusted, go to Step 3.
  • If the MAC configurations cannot be adjusted, go to Step 4.

3.Adjust the MAC configurations of the related interface and check whether the alarm persists.

  • If so, go to Step 4.
  • If no, go to Step 5.

4.Collect alarm and configuration information, and contact technical support engineers.

5.End.
