Description

The number of MAC addresses in an EVPN instance exceeded the maximum limit.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

EVPNInstanceName

EVPN instance name

EVPNInstanceMACCount

Number of MAC addresses in the EVPN instance

EVPNInstanceMaxMACValue

Maximum number of MAC addresses allowed by the EVPN instance

Possible Causes

The number of MAC addresses in the EVPN instance exceeded the maximum limit.

Procedure

1. Run the display evpn mac routing-table evpn-instance vpn-instance-name command.

2. Check whether the number of MAC addresses displayed in the command output is consistent with the MAC address or entry count displayed in the command output.

  • If they are consistent, go to Step 4.
  • If they are inconsistent, go to Step 3.

3. Delete excess MAC addresses and check whether the alarm is cleared.

  • If the alarm persists, go to Step 4.
  • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 7.

4. Run the display evpn mac routing-table limit { all-evpn-instance | evpn-instance vpn-instance-name } command to check whether the number of MAC addresses in the EVPN instance exceeds the maximum limit.

  • If the number does not exceed the maximum limit, go to Step 6.
  • If the number exceeds the maximum limit, go to Step 5.

5. Run the mac limit number { simply-alert | mac-unchanged } command in the EVPN instance view to reconfigure the maximum MAC address limit and then go to Step 7.

6. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

7. End.
