DEVM/1/hwLocalFaultAlarm_active: The local fault alarm has occurred. (IfIndex=[hwPhysicalPortIfIndex], IfName=[hwPhysicalPortName])

Description

The local fault alarm.

Parameters

Parameter Name	Parameter Meaning
hwPhysicalPortIfIndex	Index of physical port.
hwPhysicalPortName	Name of physical port.

Possible Causes

Cause 1: An optical fiber was intermittently disconnected.

Cause 2: The subcard on which the local interface resides failed.

Cause 3: The optical module was abnormal.

Procedure

1.Check whether the optical fiber is faulty. If the optical fiber is working properly, go to Step 2. If the optical fiber is faulty, replace it. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

If the alarm is cleared, go to End.
If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 2.

2.Check whether the optical modules on both ends are faulty. If the optical modules on both ends are working properly, go to Step 3. If an optical module is faulty, replace it. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

If the alarm is cleared, go to End.
If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 3.

3.Check whether the board on the remote end is faulty. If the board is working properly, go to Step 4. If the board is faulty, replace it. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

If the alarm is cleared, go to End.
If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 4.

4.Collect alarm information, log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
