PTP/2/hwPtpFrequencyLockFail_active

Message

PTP/2/hwPtpFrequencyLockFail_active: Current lock status of clock frequency synchronization failed. (hwPtpFreqLockStatus=[hwPtpFreqLockStatus])

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

Frequency out-of-lock alarm.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

hwPtpFreqLockStatus

Frequency locking status of the clock. The values are as follows:

unlock(0).

lock(1).

Possible Causes

Cause 1: During frequency synchronization based on synchronous Ethernet, the reference frequency source has an excessive frequency deviation.

Cause 2: During frequency synchronization based on IEEE 1588v2, timestamps are incorrect.

Cause 3: The DSP internal frequency control word exceeds +/-10 ppm.

Procedure

1. Run the display clock source command to check whether the clock synchronization source is a PTP source, that is, whether the value of Current system trace source is ptp.

  • If yes, the fault is caused by cause 1. Go to step 2.
  • If not, the fault is caused by Cause 2. Go to Step 3.

2. Run the display current-configuration command to check whether PTP configurations are changed.

  • If yes, re-configure the PTP attributes on the local end. For details, refer to the chapter "1588v2 Configuration" in the Configuration Guide - System Management.
  • If no, go to Step 4.

3. Run the display clock config command to check whether the clock source configuration is changed.

  • If yes, configure the attributes of the local clock. For details, refer to the chapter "Clock Synchronization Configuration" in the Configuration Guide.
  • If no, go to Step 4.

4. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact Huawei technical support personnel.

5. Ends.
